The 18th annual Galiano Naturalists' Mushroom Festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday, November 3 - 4 from 10 am to 4 pm each day, at the South Community Hall. Some program details haven't been finalized yet, so please check back here, or on island bulletin boards and social media for final details.

There will be artists' and naturalists' displays at the hall throughout the day on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday there will be presentations and mushroom walks, sampling of mushroom canapés, and a mushroom cooking class.

On Sunday starting at 10 am the public is invited to view the amazing display of hundreds of kinds of mushrooms and other fungi collected on Galiano . There is no admission charge and community members are invited to bring specimens that they have collected for identification and addition to the display. Also on Sunday, the always-popular mushroom-themed lunch will be available for purchase.
