Ducks & Geese

During the summer months, you will see several species of ducks & geese inhabiting our many lakes & watersheds. Canada Geese arrive each spring to mate & raise their young on Laughlin Lake. Driving along Vineyard Way during the summer months, you are likely to see both patents herding their offspring across the road…be careful. From early spring to late fall, several species of ducks can be seen in our lakes & protected watersheds. Some spend the winter, while others come to Galiano to mate & raise their young.
